I was wondering if anyone had similiar experiences. When I feed my fish, mostly tetras and the 2 Bolivian Rams, I give them 3 or 4 pellets, so it drops down to the bottom. The bigger one, (female I think), inhales one of the pellets and swims around the tank with this big piece of food in its mouth..sometimes for an hour. Anyone know why?

The food fish are naturally meant to eat contains mostly water, and it's very easy to chew and digest. Pellets are condensed and contain almost no water, and are completely opposite to what they are built to digest. The fish is basically letting it soften to an edible point. It sounds like you might want to soak those pellets first.
