I have a pleco in each of my tanks. A Bristlenose in one, and a Clown in the other. Neither tank has much algae in them at all and i've recently began feeding them zucchini and lettece. I'm just curious: How often should I be feeding them like this? At first I was doing it every other day, but in the last few days i've begun doing it every day. I just got the Clown Pleco yesterday, and he never touched the zucchini in his tank, but the bristlenose in my other tank always takes a huge chuck out of his, even since i've begun feeding him every day. Is there any ill effects that could arise from feeding them like this? Or if they aren't hungry, will they simply just not eat it?

Personally, I feed mine like this a couple of times a week. I put some in last thing at night, just before lights out, and then hook any remains out the next day after work. I just feed algae wafers the rest of the time.

I wouldn't worry about your clown if you've just got it, he's probably still stressed from the tank move and may not eat for a couple of days.

I usually feed mine roughly around this time every day, and leave it in there till I wake up in the morning.

I figured that was the reason why the Clown wasn't eating, but I figured i'd drop some in there for him just in case. My Bristlenose is really on the ball with it though. I just fed them about 10mins ago. I dropped some lettece into his tank, went and dropped some lettece into the other tank, washed my hands, and came back, and the Bristlenose was already munching away, lol.
