Feeding meal worm

Is it true that if you don't chop off their heads that they can chew their way through the stomach lining of the fish?
Sean
Not a problem with fish because the worms drown quickly, but it's a serious problem with reptiles & birds who hold the worms in a crop or gizzard before digesting them. Mealworms must have their heads crushed or removed before feeding to reptiles or birds.

Also most fish have a set of teeth in the throat called the pharnegal mill which reduces all ingested items to a pulp.

Well there you are then, this is even less of a risk than I thought!

The rest of the supplied food had been eten this morning so put some of the stuff I bought in there which smells like a breakfast cereal, quite tempting!!

I chop off the heads on MW so my ropefish can smell them, then it comes to the surface and eats them out of my hand. My bichirs have no problem finding them w/out the head though :)
