I recently bought some live worms for my fish (Night crawlers). I took one out because they're huge and cut it up into small worms! Then I threw some into my tank. The fish were cautious at first but then went for them. It seems like they can only get meat out of where I cut up the worm. Then this morning I woke up to find all of the worms still there only partly eaten. How should I feed my fish the worms?

Anyone have some ideas? How do you feed worms to your fish? Oh, they're livebearers, thought you should know that they're not big fish.

I think nightcrawlers may be too big and tough for your fish. There are smaller worms like red wigglers that might be more appropriate. You may need to finely chop the nightcrawlers. Disgusting, I know.

I could get baby night crawlers so that might be better. They seem to suck the meat out of the places I cut them up! What about mealworms? Would those be okay or no?

So....what should I do? Get baby nightcrawlers? I can also find out what other types of worms I can get.
