Hey, I was wondering, what do you feeder your kissiers? Are their fairly delicate looking lippy mouths suitible for eating all kinds of foods, like the articles say?

Actually I had a kisser once, but it died in a day, and had trouble eating pellets....:(

I have a kissing gourami that lives with a turtle and a red tailed shark, she eats anything!! will happily try to eat turtle pellets, prawn and will take flake food.

What size kisser? Mine eat anything, they also love courgette and algae wafers along with flake, pellets and frozen foods.

Wow....I didn't know that! My (very very long time ago) 15cm blue gourami male had trouble eating pellets, so I was wondering about kissers too. Their mouthparts don't seem to be very strong so....

Maybe when keep them, I'll get a group for competition. I guess that would be a bonus on food response:)

Remember they use their mouths to fight and 'test each others strength'! They are tougher than they look.

I keep 2 at present and have had as many as 4 together and they interacted nicely. Just keep in mind they can reach 12" (although usually 6-8 in aquaria).

I've never had a gourami struggle to eat anything although my oldest one didn't have a clue what a bloodworm (or anything else apart from flake) was until I got the others.
