Feeding Ghost Shrimp

I recently dropped half of an algae wafer into each of my tanks, and the ghost shrimp love them. I just want to make sure there will be no adverse effects if i do this once in a while. I dont want the shrimp to stop cleaning my tank or anything like that

As long as you don't give them extra food to much, they will still clean your tank. However if you give them a wafer all the time, they may stop cleaning your tank and wait for that food source.
