i've read in various articles on the internet that you can feed egg yolk to fry, i was just wondering how you would prepare it?
has anyone got experience feeding egg yolk to fry?

You use hard boiled yolk.

But it's very quick to add an ammonia spike to to any aquarium, so you have to remove any uneaten egg ASAP.
I've only used when breeding anobantoids and never on livebearers, as they will usualy eat crushed flake from birth.

I used egg yoke for guppy fry one time, and after a day the tank started to smell like ROTTEN EGGS :hyper: I advise powdered food. I found one brand called "Hikari". Just make sure it is specially designed for baby fish. It works well for my baby guppies and platies. I read that you can use live baby brine shrimp (Artimea Napuali, I'm pretty sure thy're called that). They probably work well, because a lot of people use them.
