Is it ok to only feed your fish once a day? Namly, Nw cichlids, tiger barbs, corries, and all the fish in my profile.

I feed my fish once a day, normally. Though I often miss a few days and fry get fed more often (3-4 times a day).

Yes, but even feeding fish once a day can be too much. They don't eat everyday in the wild and are built to last going as long as a week without food. I feed my fish staple foods (pellets, flakes, nori/seaweed salad for the herbivores) every other day and feed a supplemental food (daphnia, baby gammarus, brine shrimp, krill, tubifex and bloodworms, plankton, zuchinni, cucumber etc.) on the off days to vary their diet. I've noticed that my fish are a lot more active (looking for food in their enviroment) and they generally show better colors.

Depends on the fish, smaller fish need feeding more often, most fish can go 2 weeks without eating, predatory catfish longer for example.

Most fish though do eat more than once a day in the wild, even if it's not alot, most non-predatory fish still eat something.

Yes, and they still have things to eat in the aquarium setting when you don't feed them such as algae or snails. My plecos, otos, platies, tetras and gouramis constantly munch on the algae growing on the aquarium rocks and my loaches and larger gourami eat the pond snails that have come in on plants. Occasionally they'll get something good like eggs from my female cories or even one of the hundreds of platy fry there are swimming around in the plants. But, yes, my statement was wrong about not eating everyday in the wild. They do and they still can when you don't provide them with food for a day.
