Feeding Concerns

I'm very concerned about feeding, as I keep hearing that overfeeding can lead to bad water, i've fed my fish 3 times in the past 3 hours and all the food has completly gone, should i leave it at that or feed them until they start leaving food and then scoop that up with net?

Also when i put the food in, each time, they seem to become very vigerous and seem as if they are fighting for the food.

hi how many fish you got? ive got 15 platy size i give mine a small pinch of flake in the morning,i always watch to see if they all get some,then in the evening a small pinch or small amount of dry blood worm.
if you only feed once a day its better for them and your tank water really.

hello again pieman 8 tettras really dont need more than a small pinch twice a day,if you decide to treat them to some frozen foods that you get in blocks just break a small bit off, not one whole square,on the day mine get frozen shrimp they get the flake once.
