Feeding Boiled Eggs To Fish?

I got this email today, I am assuming it is spam as I don't recognize the email. Anyway one of the links in the email was to an article about how to feed boiled eggs to fish. I didn't click the link because as I said I think it is spam and didn't want to risk a computer virus. But has anyone heard of this, what are the benefits for the fish, and is it good for all fish or only certain types?

i haven't heard of it, but the other day i received an email offer promising an astonishing increase in the size of certain body parts in just a few weeks!

but seriously now, i was gonna say it sounds pretty stupid, but just a few minutes ago in this very forum i read about a guy bating fish with bacon on a string, so in comparison this actually sounds feasible. but i ask, why stop there? why not go for the full grand slam breakfast like at Denny's?

lol That is what I was thinking too, but then again I am realitively new to fish and thought it was odd at first to hear people feed peas to fish

If I recall rightly, some people feed fry powdered/dried/crumbled egg yolk as a starter food.

yep hard boiled egg yoke crumbled is often fed to fry and i think can be fed to adult fish but i think it messes your water up alot

If they like it I think it would be fine as an occasional treat. Perhaps feed it the day before doing a water change so the water won't get too messed up for long?

I feed boiled yolks to fry and scrambled eggs to the adult fish as treats occasionally. My eels like egg omlets.....
