Feeding Bichir

hey guys, so I have a Senegal Bichir and am unsure on the amount to feed him. I’ve only heard to feed fish as much as they can eat in three minutes. The problem with this is that he won’t stop eating for the three minutes any tips?

Feed them once a day and let them eat as much as they want in a couple of minutes. Then stop feeding them.

If you keep them with smaller fish then feed them 2 times a day and let them eat as much as they can in a couple of minutes. This will reduce the chance of them eating the other tank inhabitants.

Oh okay thanks, I haven’t put any other fish with his as I didn’t want anything to be eaten. Is it possible to put other fish in with him? And what kind?

you can keep them with most peaceful fish that are too big to fit in their mouth
