what's the best feeding schedule for very young mbuna? (maylania callainos & labidochromis caeruleus)

my instinct says it's a very little pinch 2 to 3 times a day. enough that they can polish it off in well under a minute.

so far i've just been feeding them tetra flake, but i'll be picking up some spirulina too. how often should i feed each type?

any other pointers?

With juvies it's a good idea to feed them around 3 times per day. When feeding a couple different foods, I just alternate, feeding them a different one each time. You might look in to getting some frozen daphnia (water fleas) and some frozen baby brine shimp, even the larger shrimp works. Labs adore brine shrimp and will happily rip it to pieces if they can't swallow it whole. I usually feed frozen food in the place of flake, once per week.

When they get larger, you might look into feeding them a pellet, it's a lot less messy.
