Hello

I ve been given a 10 inch leopard sailfin plec,a week and a bit ago, and as its my first big plec, im just wondering what in your own experiences would be the normal consumption for food for this awesome fish? I'm currently giving him/her 3 - 4 wafers now as he cleaned up just about all the algea, very impressed!, He doesnt half poo alot so ive just ordered a tetratec 1200 to run along side an internal.

Your advice would be much apppreciated,"Big Ben" would like me to up the food i'm sure! your thoughts?

Kind Regards

Tim

Probibly about 1/4 of a large zuchini(corgette) or cucumber every other day. Big fish, with big apatite

You realy will need good filtration with these guys :good: A Tetratec EX1200 is a good filter. What are your tanks dimentions?

All the best

Hiya Rabbut

Thanks for your reply. My tank is 425 ltrs ish, 50(l)x30(h)x18(w). I do have a 84x30x24 im in the process of setting up,and will put him in there.Just started a new post asking for advice on what to put in the bigger tank, leaning towards cichlids.

Zuchinni, shudder, brings back some rather unpleasent memories  but will certainly give it a go. He's such a beautiful fish, loves playing in the bubbles.

cheers
