Hello,
I read in a goldfish book that an orange slice is a healthy treat to offer your fish. so I put a small slice in the tank for about 25 minutes.. I removed it when they seemed to be ignoring it. about 2 hours later my water started looking cloudy. I have done 2 25% partial water changes since I put the orange in there and it is still cloudy.
Can an orange slice cause cloudy water? Is there anything I can do about it or will it just eventually clear itself up?
Thank you for your help.

Im not sure but i feed my cichlids cucumber sometimes and it can send my water cloudy also, like a milky cloud. What colour does it send yours ?

Mine usually clears up its self overnight ...

yes just leave it and it should clear itself, never heard or tried orange myself though, di

Great, thanx so much and don't do it! It isn't worth it! LOL

Altho I have to admit it was really neat watching them cirlce the orange slice then go in for the "attack" lol. Made me think of 2 tiny lil sharks...

Yes, definitely a milky white, but I fed it to them on Saturday afternoon and it is still cloudy today.. hmm....
Maybe the fact I have a smaller sized tank is making it take longer?

Thanx so much for the reply.
