Current stocking in the 65L:

10 Endler Guppies (all male)
3 Platies
1 BN Pleco
Tons of Cherry shrimp

I've had the platies for several years now, and they're on their last legs (fins?)
To replace them, I'm looking for something that won't eat my shrimp, but is slightly bigger than my current fish, so 5-7cm
I was thinking along the lines of a Honey Gourami, but my LFS has some Rams in stock right now which look a-mazing.
Would they munch on my shrimp? I know they're not aggressive, but they have pretty big mouths for such little fish. I would only get one, so no worries about fighting over territories
Any other suggestions are welcome, I just want colours and lots of them :p

The BN pushes your stocking limit down due to the fact that they're poop machines and messy eaters in general. What filter are you using and how many litres per hour does it turn over (eg: my 65 litre tank filter turns over 550LPH)? Might help a more educated member help you decide what fish you might be able to squeeze in. :)

How hard or soft is your local water, OP?

Rams are a very delicate fish and need perfect quality, soft water to do well, as well as a much higher temperature than your other fish would like; around 80°F/27°C.
