I have 2 Featherfin Catfish which have been in my comunity tank for well over 6 months now. They are growing well and are about 3" long, both look very healthy are very active and feed well on fresh veg, algea tabs, sinking pellets and frozen blood worm

The tank is 240L. Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 40, 26C temp, 7.2PH

The last month i have noticed one of the Featherfin Catfish has been getting a large stomache, i thought maybe it was a she and she was full of eggs as the 2 have been almost flirting and dancing around each other a lot lately but i am now a bit worried as her stomache has got even bigger, she still seems very happy, is very active and feeding well

Here are a few pics of the large fish, her massive stomache can clearly be seen

yeah thought bloat but was confused as its built up slowly over the last month, hence why i thought eggs initially

bloodworms only get fed once every few weeks or so as a treat

ill try the peas and see what happens.
cheers wilder

thanks for the help all.

i stopped feeding for a few days and today she seems back to normal size :D

Thats good news then bless her.
Try not to over feed.

was thinbking at it maybe that she has eaten too much cucumber. i have a pair of plecs in there i have been feeding well as they were showing signs of spawning (now have a cave full of eggs and a daddy plec fanning away) and the featherfins have been munching away on that pretty well, could this have been the cause?

If there eaten loads of eggs they could bloat up.
