Im getting some FBT's here in about a month. I've never kept them, so I'm going to need some tips, tricks maybe even a list of what I'm going to need for them, and do they require UVB? Because if they do, I can get the most awesome fluorescent hood at petsmart.

Im getting some FBT's here in about a month. I've never kept them, so I'm going to need some tips, tricks maybe even a list of what I'm going to need for them, and do they require UVB? Because if they do, I can get the most awesome fluorescent hood at petsmart.

They do not require uvb. Make sure the tank is at least 25% water. You don't want the water any deeper than 3-4 inches at the most. Feed crickets dusted with calcium and once a week dusted with multivitamin. Temps of 65-75 are ideal. Anything above 80 is too hot for them. Do water changes as you would with an aquarium. No tankmates. no water heater. hiding places on land and water are good idea.
