Favorite Lvebearers.

Guppys are my favourite livebearer so active and socialable, platys can be moody, mollies have an attitude problem, sword tails never kept them.

Well I really love guppies but at the moment I'm not having much luck with them :-( I also have Balloon mollys that I think are adorable  I have swordtails too..they have strong personalities. Very cool to watch the male strut his stuff to the females. Also fun to watch the females strut their stuff to eachother

I love swordtails the best. They show so much personality! I'm especially fond of lyretail and hi fin swordies but my most favorite is black swordies of any finnage. They've also been the hardest for me to keep, finding healthy ones has been a major problem in my area. But, cross my fingers, knock on wood, I've got 2 right now that are doing well in my quarentine tank since early January. I'm almost afraid to move them out of quarentine since they are doing so good.

I love mollies! My favorite is the dalmatian molly and i have one now thats pregnant. Cant wait for the fry!!! :D

My favourite live bearers I'd have to say are black sailfin mollies, My two are busy munching algae of of my plants :D

LOL

I thought I was the only one with moody platies.....they stay at the back of the tank...get me thinking they are sick then a couple of minutes later they are swimming around like nothings wrong.....my girls do it more -_-

Swordies are great....my lyretail swims with the platies and is very sociable but my neon female swordy is a little bit moody. She tends to hang out about 1/2 a foot away from the other platies/fish. She also likes swimming with the whiteskirt tetra...perhaps that is a secret desire of hers

My male swordy is soooo active....too much so in fact.....he has jumped from my 30gal so many times I had to move him to the 6gal enclosed tank (no way of escaping)

My favourites are the male guppies as I just love the colours ... and the females are not too bad either. Problem is I have trouble with them or I would have a tank full of just guppies.

Platties are not so interesting but the ones I have with the pale orange bodies and jet black fins are just gorgous. The bright orange ones are cute too. They do tend to clamp their fins up a bit looking a bit sick but turn on the lights, bring out the food and its :kana:

Haven't liked mollies (sorry to molly owners) as they tend to get a bit big for me and I had a bad experience with an exgressive one that just about ate everyone else in the tank.

Swordtails I have not tried but are they are hardy fish as they may be a good addition to my community.

I have very few guppies left, platties & a lonesome danio which I will have to sort out with some friends even if he is a well behaved one.

I am beginning to like platies a lot nowadays as I'm new at them, but I agree my guppies' personality is more endearing. They were the ones who got me into fishes in the first place, I thought before that fishes were boring and unresponsive, then I went to a store with my sister, and there was this tank with guppies, three of them came to the side and greeted me. I was hooked after that.:)

I was surprised when I got my first platies, they were rather shy and stayed a lot in the back of the tank.

Yeah im starting to figure out that mollies can be really aggresive. my gold molly really harasses all my other fish during feeding time. Does any one know what could cause this rash behavior? Just curious anyways. Mollies are still my favorite fish!
