What is the best fish to clean algae off of the walls and plants in my 25 gallon listed below? I was thinking bristlenose pleco as they stay fairly small, ideas? My otos are terrible, they just sit around and never seem to do anything, I am looking for something that can wipe out algae on the glass, plants, airlift tubes, etc. I don't mind feeding algae or zuchini after the fish runs out of food.

Thanks,
Brian Jagger

A small army of Japonica shrimps would wipe out algae, BUT i would suspect the frogs would eat them.

I would suggest a bristlenose plec but I think if you added one to your 25 it might be overstocked...

If I were to move some of the other fish to my other tank, so as not to be overstocked, will the bristlenose do what I am looking for? Whatever I end up doing, It needs to clean glass, and would be really helpful if it cleaned plants and aqaurium accessories as well.

My Peppered Corydora definately have a go at both glass and plants, and albino corydora do the glass, not sure how effective they are on the glass as I also have a baby Gibbicep plec and he's all over the glass and has a big mouth!

I'd happily get more corydora if I had room for them, they are very busy and entertaining to watch  , but the albino's are a bit hyperactive :fun:.

I've got a bristlenose and he is great. We call him Harry the Hoover, cos he constantly hoovers up, busy, busy, busy

Seriously he is only tiny at present and can't keep up with all the ornaments but he keeps the glass spotless.

Good Luck
