i have noticed today a greyish coloured growth on the nose/head of my tuxedo platy. I really want to know what it is so i thought the forum could help. It is about 0.2cm high and same in diameter and it is circluar. None of my toher fish have had this problem before. But, i think it may be related to some other fish dying in the last few weeks (9 altogether). If you do konw what this is can you please reccomend medicines that have worked etc.

Need more info I'm afraid.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
What your decribing can be bad water quality, columnaris, to parasite.
Any flicking and rubbing going off in the tank.

Tank is 30l
Im not sure about nitrates etc as i hav no test kit as it has ran out and the shop is ordering them in in 2 weeksand no other shops round here sell them.
But, i have 8 fish, 4 platys, 2 harlequins and 2 black mollys but there is no flicking or rubbing as the fungus is on the platys head, today i have brounght some fungus control and i am about to isolate him in a hospital tank and treat him but i dnt want him 2 die of lonely-ness

Over
stocked for a 30 litre tank.
Good luck.
