Hi guys... My first post here!
I got 6 Zebra Danios zipping arond my 160L aquarium, and for the past 3 weeks or so one of them has been really fat and staying fat. She also has a pink area on her underside. Is she carrying eggs? (I assume she is indeed a she because of the fact she is large).

If she is carrying eggs, what should I do next? I have a 2nd much smaller tank on standby.

Any advice would be muchly appreciated!
Thanks

More details please, especially about stock, new fish and that pink underside.

Full stock is, 6 x Zebras, 3 x Unknown Fish (What ever they are they love to play with the Zebras), and 1 x Betta.
I read the pink underside is normal for a female Zebra that is full of eggs.

What exactly do you mean by "play"? Do the 9 fish school together? What are your water parameters?

The tummy may be a very slightly pinkier colour than normal, for egg bound females, but it is normally not a great difference from normal and not patchy.

To breed, move the 6 fish to the second aquairum, layer the bottom with two rows of marbles (and/or Java moss), and place the tank where it will get the sunrise light. Don't forget to make sure the fish have a cycled filter when you move them to the second tank.

Yes, they generally school around together, I can't do any water tests at the moment except for PH which is sitting around 7.4.

I have noted your advice on the marbles and tank posistion. Will a large window seal be ok or is that a bit OTT for sunrise light?

I'll start prepping a air/sponge filter tomorrow and get it cycled in the main tank before transfering the zebras over.

Thanks for your advice KittyKat

It should be fine, but be careful as the tank can easily overheat on a windowsill, so please make sure you monitor it closely. The fish should spawn at sunrise.

This method takes 6 weeks for the filter to become cycled enough to support adult fish..

I am still concerned about the pinkness you noticed, at least a photo would help.

+1 think the babies (if she is pregnant) will come before the second tank is cycled. x
