Has anyone any ideas?

I have a 15gal hexagonal tank. I have Endlers, Tetras, Guppys (all male) and two female Bristle nosed cat fish. Everything is fine, all the water readings are fine and all the fish are very happy and healthy, bar one. A guppy is rather fat. It has been since I bought it about 6 weeks ago. Its not off its food....infact it eats the most out of all the fish and loves blood worm (which I feed 1-2 times a week). It does sit and swim around on its own quite a bit, but doesn't seem unhappy. Is it just a greedy fish?

Appreciate any thoughts

Thanks

Jo

you should post this in the FISH INDEX SECTION:)

first of all he mite be a she thats having little babies =] if not uh i dunno. but i herd fish can become bloated/

also not being funny but 1-2 times a week is far to little feeds. they need 1-2 times a day!

Oops Sorry....I knew I'd get something wrong.

Thanks.....it should be a male guppy, but I'll keep an eye on it.....and I do feed them more than that. Sorry miss lead you there. I feed them on tropical flake food twice a day, and then blood worm 1-2 times a week.

Thanks
Jo

Cut your feeding back to once a day. It sounds like you are overfeeding. Bloodworms should be a replacement to standard feeding, not in addition to the norm.

Thanks

When I feed them the blood worm, I don't give them the flake food aswell. Not sure how to explain this....this might be the easyest way:
Sunday and Wednesday - Morning= flake food / Evening=bloode worm
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday- Morning=flake food / Evening=flake food
Is this too much?
If it was too much then why are all the other fish not fat aswell?

I know I don't give them too much of the flake food coz of the 2 min rule.

Thanx for all the advise on this guys....but it died! Shortly afterwards another guppy went the same way. I think it must have been dropsy. At the moment all others seem okay. :)

Nothing else is looking like it has this problem anymore. I have started a couple of peeled, crushed peas once a week. Looking good so far. Touch wood, I haven't spoken too soon :)
