I am looking at adding some more fast-swimming fish to my tank. They need to be fast because I have a turtle. So far I have 3 bala sharks and 2 CAE and it's working perfectly. The tank is 75g.

I would like smaller fish as the Balas and CAE are already going to grow too big. I would think they should also be somewhat aggressive due to the CAE.

Thanks. :)

PS. Please don't lecture me about turtles and fish. I know the consequences and how it can be dangerous. But I have had fast fish in my tank for over a year now and they are completely fine and living peacefully.

Taking this into account some suggestions could possibly be Odessa Barbs? Or Possibly Silver Dollars pending on the Gallon unit and tank dimensions.

James.

If you are after fast on bottom strata then nothing comes close to the Kuhli loach, a lot of LFS won't stock them as they are so hard to catch, I think that they just have jet propulsion, they go around my tank like bullets.

Hmm I like the thought of Khuli Loaches; something that looks a little different! I think I've actually seen them at my lfs so I will pop by there and keep an eye out... buy one and see if I have any luck!! :hey:

I will also look out for Odessa Barbs (but I can't recall ever seeing them...), but I don't think I want silver dollars.

And I have never ever heard/seen sticklebacks so I guess that's an automatic no lol. Thank you though!

Thanks for the suggestions both. :) If anyone has any other ideas, keep 'em coming! :good:

Never seen giant danio but will keep my eye out/ask lfs. Definitely like the idea of them. :)

Odessa barbs are so fast, i actually was trrying to catch 5 earlier in my 4ft tank... Needless to say it took me an hour lol
