Fast Breathing

Over the past few days my clown loaches have been breathing very rapidly. Not all the time, but significantly enough that I am concerned. The tank has remained at the constant temp it always is (I even checked with my hand to ensure the gauge was working). They have an air pump and I will be adding a powerhead tomorrow (they have taken to putting their faces in the filter outtake - I took this to mean they would like a bit more of a current!).

I have noticed they have been having a few fights over dominance, could they just be out of breath? All of them? Or could this be a symptom of something else

Hi, do their gills look more red than usual?
If so then it could be an infection if not i would see how the powerhead helps.
Hope they are ok
