Assuming money or space was no object, here are are few of mine.

A very very big tank filled with Flying Fish! I would have the tank be about 6' deep with about 6' air space before the hood so they could soar around :hyper: :hyper:

A completely dark tank in a dark room with an Anglerfish! It would be awesome to watch it hunt with its glowball.

A more (somewhat) realistic would be an archerfish tank with live plants above the waterline, you could release bugs and watch it spit at them...

well this would require a nice BIG house, but a covered koi pond as the foyer floor, followed by a 10'x8' marine tank to divide the dining room from the living room.

Here's a couple of totaly fantasy fish I made...

I like the zebra cory, that would be a cool species, the betta looks like he has green ich.

We were just discussing what will hopefully be a project i will undertake some time in the future in the chatroom the other night.

My idea is to have a very large tank somewhere in the region of 20x5x5' and set it up as a cross section of a small river or stream with marginal shelves with leaf litter zones each side of the tank and a deep water area in the middle to allow for a realistic mix of large and small predator and prey fishes. The shallow area with dense planting and root systems would provide safe havens for smaller fish while the larger fish would stick to the deeper central channel and just pick off the occasional small fish that strays to far from the safe zone.

Realistically I would want a 6'Lx4'Wx18"H tank, with all of my current oddballs, and more :p It would also be easier to maintain and such

i would get a warehouse, put all my current tanks in there. i would then get many large tanks for South american or Central american cichlids. then i would make a green house with ponds in it. the ponds would stock fish that people cant take care of anymore, like if people got irid sharks or some other large fish without thinkin, it would be rehomed in one of the ponds. i would have a large tank for an oscar, jack dempsey, red devil, and a tilipia. then like a 200 gal tank for some other cool cichlids. i would also get some of those zebra cories :D . i would also have like a special pump system so i push a button on a cyphin in each tank connecting to a large central unit that sucks the water out of the tank. i would have another large tank for some odd balls and some more tanks for extra hospital tanks or something.

My dream tank really isn't a tank at all :D
It's a room, a big one. Not filled with several tanks but the whole room transformed into a piece of a real south american river bank. We're speaking of thousands of gallons of water here and a largish land area with original south american trees, bushes and other plants, some lizzards, bugs and birds ;)
Naturally with the exact same species that are found in the wild. One wall would be made of acryll / glass for viewing and to keep the air inside humid enough (and to prevent the fauna from escaping :D )
My own little piece of a rainforrest, the ultimate biotope paludarium

I would set up one of those "please molest our fish and invertebrate" tanks like you see at SeaWorld and big aquariums, where kids rip off starfishie arms. I would also add a much larger section where they could pet the grouper, electric eels, and zebrafish.

The leftover money would all go toward lawsuits, but worth every penny

I love thinking about my dream tanks :)

Someday I would love to have a HUGE tank to house a red tailed catfish.
I'm obsessed with catfish, and would love to have the opportunity at some point in my life to own a specimen of every species.

I live on the Ohio River, and there are gigantic catfish in that river. Fish that are many feet long. I would never go looking for them though. The river is so murky and polluted that I am scared to think of what I might find.

Since getting my 6' 125 Gallon tank I hae come to realize that size is only part of the battle, but quantity is what matters... ;)

If I was to remain in my current residence I would want 4 8' tanks and probably 20 - 10 Gallons and 20 - 30 Gallons. :)

One 8' would be dedicated to Marine and would also house my two GSP (they would be in heaven).

Another would be a nice community tank like I have now.

The third would be a discus community tank.

And the fourth would be a chichlid tank.

The 30 Gallon tanks and 10 Gallon tanks would all be for breeding and fry rearing. :)

I'm rather fond of Sir's Zebra Cory :) If I had the money, I'd love to have a few Zebra Plecs. If I could have as many tanks as I wanted, I probably go for a bunch of tanks in the 20 to 40 gallon range...unless I got one of those 58s that more square than long. I rather liked that tank... Can't think of any hard-to-keep or huge fish that I want. I'm rather fond of the smaller fish like Neons and Corys.
