Fancy Guppy Pregnant?

Cousin just got a male & female fancy guppy for his first fish, his tank is cycling so I put his fish in my own tank inside of a breeder box.

His female fancy guppy looks pregnant, she has a large bloated belly, much larger then the males. There is also some blackish stuff (kinda grey) inside her stomach area kinda behind the stomach. My cousin thinks it looks like eyes. Is she a livebearer? If yes how many will she be having, the fish are inside a small breeder box and if i wake up to a breeder box filled with fish then idk what to do... also how long will this take before she lets the young out?

Sounds to me like she's pregnant. Yes they are live bearers. She could be having anywhere from one to fifteen babies. You won't really know til she has them. for more info go to the pinned post about that here

More like anywhere from 1-50, possibly more depending on size, highest i have had was 86 off a prety big guppy.

I've only seen one to fifteen. I had no idea that they could have so many.

They call guppies millions fish. There have been reports of more than 100 fry from very large females in the prime of their breeding lives. This isn't common however. You might get this number frequently from a large molly though - they are much bigger than guppies but the fry are not that much larger at birth.
