We have had our fancy and other goldfish for over three years. We have know our fancy has swim bladder disease for about a year but he now stays at the bottom of the tank (cant swim) and the other fish kinda looks after him. However, he has now developed cyst like bubbles which are coming out of his body. He started with one which kept coming and going and now he has about 5! We now only feed them bloodworms rather than flaked food. His appetite is still fine but he cant move and he has these things comeing out of him. I have researched everything including ich but cant find what it is. Can anyone help me???

Photo? It sounds like a virus which goldfish get.. I can't remember what it is called just now, but I hope that sets you on the right path. It is also highly contagious, if I remember correctly.

when my son comes home from school i will see if he can get a photo on his phone and try and post it but thanks for your reply.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear about your goldie, this sounds similer to what my fancy developed a few months back. Dose the cyst open presenting exposed white tissue?
Like Kitty Kat said pics would be of great benefit for the members.

Keep us posted, Keith.

no it doesnt open - just like big bubbles. Was your fish okay and did the bubbles/cysts go? I don't think my fish will ever swim again though.

I treated mine with Waterlife's Sterazin and it seamed to clear it up, from what you have said your issue sounds different. Sorry i could not help, Keith.

Not sure how to attach a photo of my fish in my reply - could somebody advise me how to upload a photograph from my pictures. Many thanks.
