Fan & Surface Agitation

I have added 2 small fans for my planted tank, I have 2 units of Nutrafin CO2 Kit in the tank. I am wondering, when the fans are on, the surface agitation is high and could this be causing the CO2 to escape from water very quickly or it does not affecting that much?

During the summer months I run a fan across the top of the tank to keep the temperature down and I notice that I do have to add more CO2.
