Fake Grass

In out local garden centre there is a stand displaying fake grass for your garden, Like ordinary turf it comes in lots of different grades and the better the grade the better the quality,

The really expensive stuff looks awesome and I was wondering if this is something that could be put in the bottom of a fish tank?

I quite like the idea of moss and java fern but they grow like billy-o, this might look a good as a base with no maintenance

wow, that looks pretty cool.

To the untrained eye, i would say that looked like real grass.
But im not your average horticulturalist...
Any idea what its made out of?
'cos we bought a fake plant specifically designed for aquariums, and it looked beautiful, but it just felt too rough for the fish, and we ended up not putting it in.

Specification : 50% UV stabilised texturised monofilament polypropylene (two tone) ; 50% UV stabilised monofilament polyethylene (two tone)
it says its pet friendly, but all sorts of chemicals could be released when its submerged...
