Fairy Basslet

I saw a fairy basslet in a book of mine and say it only grows 2". I'm not real good with what size fish can go in what size tank but can a fairy basslet fit in a 5.5 gallon tank?

I personally would not recommend it; but I'd imagine it could be accomplished as long as you paid close attention to water quality, et cetera.
