My new betta, Kenji, who I have had for about three months-- he's about 6 months old, has this weird thing with his eyes. A few days ago, the power went out in my house, and since we live in Canada, this is a big disaster, because his tank was getting cold. So anyway, it was all a big hassel. After the stressful events of the power-failur, his eyes began to fade- from dark blue to a pale blueish white. The next day, when everything was back to normal, he was fine. Is this normal? he is in a 2.5 gallion tank, with 27 degrees water, live plants, a castle, and a bunch of other decorations. He has made a lot of bubblenests.

Please post guys! By the way, i'm new to the forum. I'm lia.

Did you notice the eye change when turning the lights back on after the betta had been in the dark for some time since you had a power cut? all bettas naturally become pale when in dark conditions and then re colour once it becomes light again this is perfectly normal, the most noticeable difference is how pale their eyes become, this could be the case with your betta now that he appears normal again, it could also have been stress due to the cold making him pale :good:
