F8 Puffers

yes it is, they actually make quite good tankmates. They require the same water parameters also. The 8's surprisingly never eat/attack the BBG's, anybody that has kept these together will tell you this. For a tank that size Id do 2 puffers, 3 depending on the personalities.

The number of BBG's doesnt really depend on the figure 8's but rather the amount of territories and hiding places in the tank. BBG's are very territorial so there should be tons of decor and stuff for them to make territories. Add a few to the tank initially and then add 1 or 2 every now and then and when there seems to be too much fighting stop adding them. That methods seems to work best for me.

A 20 gallon tank could house a single figure 8 puffer and a few gobies, so yes Id give it a go.

i have a heavily decored tank with all dead coral so ive gotten the ok for 2 figs and a few bbgs.

Figure Eights are tricky. Many say they are one of the least aggressive puffers. I had one in a tank with a GSP and 2 Knight Gobies. One day he decided he wanted to be alone in the tank and started attacking everyone. Had to bring him to the LFS.

So, the F8 MIGHT be ok with the BBGs. He might not. :)

Figure 8 seem to be 100% fine in all cases with bumble bee gobies.
