hi i have never had a problem with my f8 puffer let alone his teeth, any way i put shelled cocckles etc in the tank but he will not touch them he will either not eat or wait until i have no choice but to put some food without shells in the tank forhis own sake.(after 11 days)

what should i do? because if he will not eat and it looks like let his teeth grow to long or let him starve to death, obviously i want neither to happen so any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Lazy puffer is all i can call him. lol

Can you get some live aquarium snails? the movement of these, combined with a lack of easy food should tempt him into feeding....

as it goes the tank is riddled with them but he will not touch them i heck on him all the time but he always looks starved and i am kind of use to how his body bulges etc once he eats but lately nothing

Figure 8 puffer fish are for all intents and purposes brackish water fish, hopefully a moderator will move this over to the right section.

Figure 8s aren't one of the puffers that has a major problem with over grown teeth. A gravel or large grain sand bottom with any food dropped in should be fine.
