Eye Paraite In Dwarf Gourami?

i got back from holiday when my housemates were looking after my fish and noticed my dwarf gourami had a very swollen eye. a day later there was a wormy thing hanging out of it and he died later that day. anyone know what this could be? are my others at risk?

Treat for parasites. Also treat for bacterial infections.

Could be eye flukes so I would get a med that covered flukes.
Can you describe the worm i didn't have a fork tail did it.

couldn't really tell i was too squeamish to pull it out. i'll see if i can get some info though and will treat for parasites and bacteria
