Two mollies have developed cloudy eyes. Almost looks like an opaque film over them.

I put them into a seperate tank and dosed twice with a fungus med. No improvement.

The tank I took them from is not showing any other infections.

The two affected fish have no other signs of illness. They look good, eat well, swim fine, their poop looks normal.

Should I try to get a picture? Or do you know what this might be so I can treat properly?

Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
Cloudy eye is a symtom of a desease not a desease in it's self.
Causes bad waer quality, parasites, bacterial, old age, irratation, stress.

ph- 8.4 (always this high)
ammonia- 0
nitrite- 0
nitrate- 40 ppm

I had another mollie who developed this condition, put her into QT and there she stayed for over a year until she died from old age, I think.

These recent two are ones I bred. Beautiful sailfins. I can't figure it out. The rest of this tank is fine to the eye. I'm not seeing anything amiss. I do all the regular things for maintenance. Rats.

I would try some melafix for now then, good luck.

my large angel has developed the same problem in one eye and it is as active as normal, no other problems in my tank, water great, ph-0, ammonia-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-10, im guessig mine is just old age as it is at least 6 year old.
