Eye Bulging

Help! I have come home from work to find one of my tiger barbs has a bulging eye. It was fine yesterday.

There are two possible causes.
 
The first is 'pop eye', a bacterial infection usually related to poor water quality.
 
The second is injury; quite common in tigers as they're so aggressive to each other.
 
Have you tested the water and, if so, can you post the results? How big is your tank and how many tigers (and other fish) are in there? Is the tank cycled?
