Hi. Posted here as not a problem I have experienced before. Bought an aqua one external 2250, rather large tubing and access to my new corner tank is restricted to say the least. It didn't come with any elbows, which I thought was strange, couldn't find any to buy, so had to improvise. Used solvent weld overflow pipe as much as possible. Air is being drawn into the intake, I suspect its where I've had to use tubing to make a join between the overflow pipe and the hose union connection section that came with the filter. I have tried cables ties and circlips, but nothing works. I can hear the air being sucked in but can't stop it, tried for six hrs. The filter is making a right racket as it spits the air back out. Its delaying my moving on with setting up. I thought of trying silicone but didn't think it would stick to the tubing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

on all the out of water fittings on my filter I used silicone, ptfe tape (on threaded joins) and jubilee clips.

can you post a pic of theconnection/ join in question - perhaps you could use some other standard fitting and change the tube that runs to the filter.

Thanks. Will try silicone. I can't change the tube as there's a threaded nut that tightens back over the tube to form the seal, so the dimensions can't be altered.
