External Skimmers?

I have beinf lookin at skimmer but have only fund internal ones for under £100 i really need an external one i saw the TMC V2 400 but is is an internal is there anyway od adapting it to external because im sure i have seen this model external and not in a sump!

they sure are just normal HOB skimmers i and many people have them on nanos.
