Hi, I have a Roma Fluval 200 with U4 filter, am looking to change to external filter, specifically this one.
Allpondsolutions
The tank has quite a bulky surround/edging around it where the 3 part lid sits. My question is, will the filter pipework fit this tank.

Many thanks.

ive no idea about your tank but to fit my external i had to modify my tank lid (melt access holes in it) maybe move this question to the hardware and diy section

I know what you mean with the fluval roma tanks.
Your best bet would be to check around google and see if anybody else has managed
to use that filter with that tank, unless of course somebody else pops in that has done so lol.

One other thing, aint the 'suckers' on the picture on the wrong side? :fun:

I'm not familiar with those tanks, but I can tell you that the 'hockey stick' parts that go over the edge of the tank are 2 1/4'/56mm approx (on the inner edges) of the APS filters, 'cos I just went and measured :)

Hope that helps.

A little of topic as a APS owner can i suggest going for the tetratec filters instead much much better quilty for not alot more. The APS has been ok but the pipework is really bad, after 6 months of moving it around cleaning it has cracks in it. Amother member snaped complely lol.

Have a look at the rim and you will see a line which has been 'weakened' so you can snap them out. I used a decent pair of scissors and cut down the two lines then snapped the piece backwards and it snapped it clean off. This enables you to add an external filter of your choice. Unsure about the the ones with bigger pipework, but the 05 series from Fluval will fit and most TetraTECs. Never owned an APS filter so can't comment.
