What is the best external filter that will habdle a 600+ liter tank?
i am getting very confused the more i read.

Thank you

I have a 600 liter tank and the only external filter I trust to filter my tank or any tank this size is a Fluval FX5.
It does a fantastic job, never had a problem, has good flow, easy to clean and to be honest I wouldnt use anything else imo.
Its a big filter and can be a bit pricey but hey you get what you pay for.
I believe they just brought out a new model too. The Fluval FX6.

I've been drooling over the FX6 for a couple of weeks now (I have a 5'x2'x2' on it's way for my rescued oscar and gibbi), but I was talking to someone last week who said a friend of their's had bought one, and had had a lot of problems with it; I know the taps had snapped, so I'd hold off on getting one of those for a few months, until they've ironed out the 'teething' problems!

Surely two external filter that would do a 3/4ft tank would work?

The aquastop valves/taps on the fx6 are the same as the fx5. I think if anything having the valves snap was just very bad luck, possibly a bad batch?. I honestly dont think it would happen again unless the filter is hanging from its pipes lol its made from very thick and robust plastic. Iv never had any probs with it anyway:)

That's good to know
