Hi

Can anyone suggest a good external filter for a 10gallon (UK) planted EI tank (hopefully). Thinking of one the the Eheim Ecco, but thought I'd check if there is any alternatives, or one more suited.

Thanks

I just got an EX700 from Zooplus also, and its fantastic! Zooplus also managed to deliver it in 4 working days - they said 5-10 days - including the bank holiday which I guess they don't get in germany! Arrived early Tuesday morning via DHL.

Great piece of kit too :)

I have a tetratec EX1200 filter that came with my tank and its great. Its silent and my water is super clear!

Definatly a good filter

Of course, you usually can't go wrong with Eheim, if you're willing to pay the premium (most eheim owners will say its worth it but couldn't comment myself :))

Word of warning about ordering from zooplus. Since I ordered some gear a month or so back, I've been plagued by junk emails in german!!!!

You should use a spam filter then. I am on msn and I don't get any german e-mails!!

Andy

Again thanks for the advice decided to go with the Eheim, I use ProII on two of my other tanks and the price was about he same.

Fish fur and feather have the Eheim Classic 2123+ (includes all media, hoses, connectors) for a great price - £31.73 + shipping :)

Traditional round Eheim filters offer very good value for money. The Plus range comes complete with media and double taps (essential for avoiding water spills). The 2213 model is rated for tanks up to 250 litres,(included media is ehfimech and ehfisubstrat)
