External Filter

hi all its been along time since i have had fish but i have decided to buy another tank and have just bought a new aqua one aquience 650s and it came with an external filter i have set it all up but i have one question is the external filter supposed to create bubbles from the outlet pipe as all what happens are ripples on the surface of the water using the spray bar the filter is a aquis 1250 thanks

Rippels is better than bubble's.....

Getting tecy. A good rippel can double the surface area.
Bubble's look good but unless their in the water for a long period of time they dont add much oxygen

Ripples are quieter as well than having the spray bar above the water level.
