External Filter Advice Please

Hi,

I have noticed that the water returning to my tank coming out of the spray bar has decreased to a trickle.

I cleaned one of the sponges last week but didn't seem to fix the problem, the manual is not very helpful, lots of pictures and German words.....and im half German and cant work it out.!

Its an Ehiem pro 3, anyone got one that can share their cleaning tips?

One thing I always do with my Classic 2215 is make sure the pipes are clean.
I usually replace mine every month, couple of £ to keep it running perfect.
Also perhaps clean the impeller, and whilst you're there, make sure there are no kinks in the hose.

yo dont need to replace the pipess if they get clogged just take em off and clean em out .

Thanks the pipes look pretty clean but im going to take it apart this weekend and have another look.

I only cleaned one sponge last week so i didnt kill off all the good bacteria, do you think its safe enough for me to clean the other sponge this weekend or is it to soon.

Take some water out your tank and clean them all, i clean my tetratec every month with fish water and have had no problems yet.

EDIT: scrap that just noticed it a marine setup you have!
