What else is in the main tank with her? Are there any plants or hiding spots for the babies? I hear putting the mom in the breeding net is VERY stressfull and she'll probably want to abort her pregnancy in the net. I let my molly have her babies in the main tank. I even had a catfish in the main tank and 7 fry survived. I then scooped them out and let them grow in the breeding net until they were about an inch or so.

There's one pregnant female guppy (about 2-3 weeks I guess), 2 male guppy's that chase the female guppy and a smallish sword female, 1 sword male 1 small red tale black shark 1 cory and a small BN. Tanks Moderatly to well planted

Are you wanting to keep ALL of the fry? They can have up to 50-100 fry at once. :/ If you want to keep a few like 5-10 I would let her out of the breeding net and let her give birth in the main tank. She will feel more comfortable giving birth in there and it won't be so stressful for her. The others may eat the tiny fry, but if you tank is well planted or atleast has a few plants some fry will survive. Also large marbles are good for fry to hide between.

Thanks for the marbles tip (as its my 3 nearly 4 y/o sons tank I dont think he will mind that) and I's like to keep as may fry as I can from this batch.

1) To replace the accidental deaths of the some previous guppies in this tank (had this tank (a 20 Gallon) as an emergancy party tank and few get et and a filter intake accident with a couple more)

2) would like a few to round out my tank (40gallon(

3) start a breeding tank maybe

 Well even if you do lose some fry, you will most likely have some left if you watch the tank for them. I had a bumblebee catfish in my main tank when my dalmation molly gave birth and 7 of her fry survived. And catfish LOVE eating fry. :p

i wouldnt worry to much my guppy is as fat as that and shes not pregnant and when i feed her she doesnt eat that much so shes not over fed!!!!

yeh i didnt say that she wasnt i was just saying dont worry about her exploding its not going to happen.

Its just over exaggeration just what us aussies are famous for, its otherwise known as Bulls#$t, just ment to get more of a response. But then again are you just trolling for responses? :dunno:
