exactyl what do i need to raise silver arowana?

hi i am new but i wanted to know EXACTLY what i need to raise a silver arowana. my dad bought one for my 100 gal tank and it died.. water was at 82 degrees and the PH was at 6.8. my dad put it in there and it died in 2 days. it was the only fish in the tank also... just a solo fish that had died. please let me know exactly beacuse i dont want that happening ever again..

Was the tank cycled and did you test for ammonia and nitrite? Silver arowanas are quite hardy fish so the fact it died within two days indicates it was either unhealthy before you bought it or the water quallity in the tank was very bad.

Do you realise that a 100g tank is no where near large enough to keep a silver arowana? These fish can grow to 4 feet and will certainly reach over 2 feet so require a minimum of a 180 gallon tank and prefferably much much larger.
