I have a 10 gallon planted tank with just a hornwort bunch and red ludwigia, whose leaves were picked off by my fish in there. My tank is equipped with six fish and two african dwarf frogs, and an air pump connected to an undergravel fliter. Oh yes, there are remnants of java moss in there (I think the fish ate most of it, darn things! [anybody have extra to spare?] :hey: ) And I have no light, just the overhead light to my room (which I almost never turn on, being a somewhat vampiristic person with a fish fettish) and whatever light that decides to make its way through my mini-blinded, barred, and screened window, with a giant lemon tree blocking the sun...

So I was thinking; Maybe the lack of light made the hornwort and the red ludwigia wilt (the red ludwigia's leaves fell off) and I kinda left it in there for a few days, but I think the dead leaves are the problem.

Do I just do a 80% water change and turn on the light more often?

Will the yellow water come back?

Thanks in advance

The plants will need dedicated fluorescent lighting (some people do use sunlight though), not the light from your room.
