I have a balloon belly molly and 2 panda tetras the tetras started dive bombing my white clouds, killed one, the balloon belly chases every fish in sight, i would like to get rid of the three. i caught the three and placed them in a breeder basket at top of tank, my white cloud looks so happy now, he made a full recovery.
Should i leave them in basket until they die, flush them?
Help

No, don't wait for them to die or flush them, try and re-home or see if your Lfs will take them.

As the above people have pointed out, the nicer thing to do would be to re-home them. Letting your stock purposefully die or flushing them is not a very nice thing to do.

Thats just cruel, just because a fish doesn't get on with another doesn't mean you kill it, take them to a LFS. Never put a healthy fish down....the toilet I mean.

OMG why would a person have a pet and kill the healthy pet for selfish reasons? I almost got in fight with a woman at LFS who mentioned flushing fish she did not like . . . her justification was "they were cheap" . . . BARBARIC I SAY

Just because fish are cheap isn't a valid reason to flush a fish down the toilet!

Imagine if you got forced to go down some smelly pipes into what's essentially a river of s**t, I'm sure you would love it going in your mouth every now and again just to say hello.

Some people puzzle me. :dunno:

Please do us all a favour and rehome all your fish, sell your tank, and take up a new hobby.

Ben.

If you are in America, I have had great success in the past when I decided to stop a fish-in cycle in favor of fishless, and posted on CraigsL*st offering my danios to an owner who already had a school to add them to. I got 3 responses immediately, and met someone with the fish in a bag at a local convenience store parking lot. Please try this out instead of flushing.

Cheers!
