Everyone's Opinion On Best Algae Eater Please

hi,i have a jewel rio 240 with the original internal filter and a eheim external pro 11 2028.

my stocking list

8 x congo tetras
10 x assorted rainbows
12 assorted corys

here are some more fish i'm in the process of adding over the next week or so

1 x rtbs
2 x keyholes
2 x rams

to finish off the tank,i would like some form of algae eater/eaters.i am quite a heavy feeder and do lots of water changes but have a lot of algae on all my plants.i would like a fish/fishes to keep the algae at bay on my plants/glass/bogwood.

i dont have any experience of algae eaters so all advice greatfully recieved

plecs are good common as you know get to big and they then get lazy a bristlenose plec would be good but be aware they are poop machines. Snails are meant to be good.

I would vote oto's as very hearty algae eaters, my apple snail also does a suprisingly good job at algae eating despite not being a primarily algae-eating snail (omnivorous).

ottos are reported to be good algae eaters for plants,but,i'm looking for the all in one algae eater if such a thing exsists.something to eat the algae on the glass,bogwood and plants.does such a fish exsist

BN's and otto's are probably good, l027 i think aswel.

shrimp would do a good job except on the glass.

Otto's will clean all parts of the tank no problem . What sort of algae do you have and how long do you leave the tank lights on per day? Is the tank planted at all and are the plants healthy? How high are your nitrates?
There are a variety of plecs which will eat algae, but most do not make effective algae eaters and also create a lot of poop as well, which can inevitably fuel the algae problem.

i have the string type of algae growing on all my plants.the lights are on at 8am,then the lights go out at 12pm then on again at 2pm and off at 7pm.so 9 hours in total with the lights on every day.i have a marine actinic light tube and a freshwater tube( both by arcadia) i over feed as well so i know most of the reasons for my algae and i know if i change my tubes and feed less the algae would probably recede.
