I havent seen a purple one before could it be a wierd looking apple snail?

It's an albino I think. I have 3 like that though their shells are darker colored, though the lightness of that one might just be the camera flash.

Yeah, I have one that looks a lot like that, although it was bred from common pond snails and not apple so the shell is different. Also the body of mine is red since it has no dark pigmentation.

Yup! I've got some! I ordered mine a while back from from Apple Snails by Leonora -- she has quite a variety. (Actually, juding by the username on that auction -- she must be selling some on Bidafish too!!)
