I was feeding my fish the other night and something smacked me in the head. I thought it was my girlfriend joking around but when I turned there was no one there. Then I saw something shiny out of the corner of my eye. One of my Nomorhamphus liemi fry was flopping on the floor! It had somehow jumped out the back of the cover where the filters are and been at just the perfect angle to hit me! LOL What a lucky fish that I was there to give it a helping hand (literally) and put it back in the tank! She is doing fine now and seems none the worse for the mishap! I already have almost the entire top of the tank covered with floating plants and don't know what else I could have done to stop the escape attempt. I think she is just getting to breeding age and might have been getting chased a little by the two males that are in there (they are from different parents). Must be love in the air! Do you know what the breeding age for this species is? The female was born 12/4 the males where born 12/24.

heh, Petco had some really huge (3 inch) swordtails and the girl that was working there was very knowledgable but very bossy.

Well, she netted the swordtails out and one of them hopped out and slapped her in the face!
